Gunnar White is in his first season as Belhaven’s Offensive Line Coach.

Gunnar is a native of Terry, MS. During his high school playing career at Terry High School, he obtained All-District and All-State honors. He was selected to play in the Bernard Blackwell North/South All-Star Game to represent the South State team as an offensive lineman. Gunnar played two seasons as an offensive lineman at Hinds Community College. After competing at Hinds, Gunnar signed with Texas Tech University.

Following his playing career, Gunnar earned his Bachelor’s degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation at Jackson State University. While Gunnar was at JSU, he served as a student assistant under Timmy Chang. Gunnar also worked with the equipment staff.

After his time at Jackson State University, Gunnar worked as an intern for the Chicago Bears equipment staff.

Gunnar is married to Jackson native Shelby Hardy White.
