Fletcher Jones is entering his second year with Belhaven Football as the Defensive Line coach. Jones is a native of Taft, Texas where he played under Pete Guajardo, achieving multiple playoff appearances and winning a District title. Under Guajardo, Jones was an All- State Defensive End and MVP of his region.
Jones played each of his college playing years at McMurry University. He was originally recruited by and played for Coach Hal Mumme during his Freshman and Sophomore years in the American Southwest Conference, where they made a playoff appearance in 2011. That team also achieved a Bowl game win in 2012.Â
Jones was a two year starter as Defensive End at McMurry University and competed in the Division II Lonestar Conference (2013 & 2014).
Fletcher Jones is the son of Donald Jones and Melissa Nelson. Jones graduated from McMurry University, having double- majored in History and Sociology.
