Ben Brewer is in his second season as Graduate Assistant coach for Belhaven’s Baseball program, working primarily with catchers and first baseman for the Blazers.
Brewer played four seasons with the Skyhawks of the University of Tennessee at Martin as a catcher and first baseman.
Prior to arriving at Belhaven, Brewer was a Lifetime Wellness coach at John Overton Comprehensive High School in Nashville, Tenn. He planned and facilitated daily lessons for high school physical education classes. He also assisted with the school’s administration and staff to promote activities for student and school success.
Before his time at John Overton Comprehensive High School, Brewer worked for The Ensworth School in Nashville during the 2013-14 academic year. In the fall semester, he was an intern with the Strength and Conditioning Department, where he led and instructed workouts. That spring and summer, he served as a catching and junior varsity coach for the baseball team.
A native of Nashville, Tenn., Brewer is a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association. He graduated Cum Laude from UT-Martin in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Human Performance.
Brewer is pursuing a Master's Degree in Sports Administration at Belhaven.
