THE TOURNAMENT AND HISTORY
The bracket starts Wednesday, but Belhaven won't play until Thursday morning.
The Blazers will face the winner of Maryville and LaGrange, then move into a double-elimination setup the rest of the way. It's the same format that has produced tight games late in the week year after year.
Belhaven has been here consistently. Three straight championship game appearances and two titles in the last three seasons, including last year.
THE BELHAVEN BREAKDOWN
Belhaven earned the top seed by finishing with its best conference record since 2024, recording just one loss in CCS play.
The offense leads the CCS with a .344 team average and 283 runs, while the pitching staff sits near the top of the conference with a 2.41 ERA. They've also handled neutral-site play well, with tough competition in Spring Break games.
IN THE BOX
The lineup has been steady all season.
Maryanna Guy (.412, 8 HR, 41 RBI) is one of the most productive hitters in the league and ranks near the top in doubles as well.
Melissa Lopera (.405) and
Kaleigh Steverson (7 HR, 31 RBI) add depth, while
Ellie Williamson is tied for the conference lead with 14 doubles.
IN THE CIRCLE
Macy Funderburk (1.75 ERA, .182 opponent average) has been one of the most efficient pitchers in the conference.
AR Sharp is 9-0, and
Karley Rouse has taken on a heavy workload with over 80 innings.
THE COMPETITORS
Huntingdon leads the conference with a 2.14 ERA and features one of the top arms in the league in Allie Roberts (1.47 ERA, 111 strikeouts). Addison Gaines adds another frontline option with over 100 strikeouts. If games stay low scoring, Huntingdon is comfortable. Offensively, they're right behind Belhaven with a .340 team average and strong production throughout the lineup.
Piedmont brings one of the most dangerous hitters in the tournament in Anslee Sanchregraw, who leads the CCS in average (.491), slugging, on-base percentage, and OPS. That kind of production can change a game quickly. As a team, Piedmont hits .339 and has enough power and depth to put pressure on any pitching staff.
Maryville is balanced and experienced. They hit .319 as a team and have multiple hitters near the top of the conference leaderboards, including Sydney Dickinson and Kaylee Peyret. In the circle, they've got depth with over 250 innings pitched as a staff and the ability to mix and match across a long tournament.
LaGrange comes in as the No. 5 seed but has played its way into the field with solid conference results. They've shown they can score in stretches and have pitchers who can keep games close early.
Covenant rounds out the field and brings a staff that has logged a lot of innings, including one of the league leaders in total innings pitched. They'll open against Piedmont and will need to limit damage early to stay in it.
