JACKSON, Miss. - Kam Beverly (Jackson, Miss.) of the Belhaven Men's Basketball team and Veronica Williams (Philadelphia, Miss.) of the Belhaven Women's Basketball team have been named the C Spire Athletes of the Week following their strong performances in competition for the Blazers from last Wednesday thru this past Tuesday.

Beverly, a junior forward, averaged 12.6 points and 2.6 rebounds across three games last week for the Blazers. Beverly threw down a handful of thunderous dunks last weekend vs. Piedmont, where he scored a career-high 22 points on 10-of-12 shooting.

Williams, a senior guard, averaged 16.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and three assists and 2.3 steals per game across three games last week. Williams has reached in double-figures in each of her last four games.

Robinson and Jenkins each head to Asbury tomorrow to take on the Eagles. The women's game is set to tip off at 4:00 PM CST while the men's game is scheduled for 6:00 PM CST.
