SHREVEPORT, La. - The Blazers' Softball team took both ends of their Tuesday doubleheader at Centenary to improve to 22-6 on the season and impressive 7-2 mark in true road games. Belhaven took the opening game of the day by a 7-1 scoreline before capping the day with a 3-0 shutout victory in the finale.

Game One (W, 7-1)

The Blazers got off to a strong start in the opening game of the day, plating a pair of runs on an Ellie Jones double in the top of the 3rd to take an early lead. The Blazers would then add a run in the top of the 4th to restore a two-run lead as Ellie Williamson delivered an RBI hit.

In the 7th, Belhaven would put the game away with RBI at-bats from Reagan Bryan and Anna Caime before Colby Hollinger delivered a pair of runs on a base hit to put the Blazers up 7-1. Belle West, who went the distance in the game, slammed the door in the 7th to pick up the win.

In the second game of the day, the Blazers would rely on shutdown pitching in the circle and a pair of timely hits early to secure the win. The only offense in the game would come in the second inning as Madi Miller plated a run on an RBI single before Belle West drove in two more win an RBI hit of her own.

The Blazers will now turn their attention back to conference play with a critical series against Piedmont slated for Friday in Georgia.
