JACKSON, Miss. - Belhaven Football closed out the 2025 season on Saturday at Belhaven Bowl Stadium, falling 30-13 in their Senior Day matchup vs. Huntingdon.
The loss moved the Blazers to 6-4 overall and 5-2 in USA South play, wrapping up the program's fifth winning season in the last six years.
Belhaven's defense delivered the first big moment of the afternoon early in the third quarter.
Dee Gray jumped a route near midfield and returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown, giving the Blazers a brief 7-3 lead. The momentum shifted quickly, though, as the visitors answered with two touchdown drives to move in front 17-7 by the end of the quarter.
The Blazers struggled to sustain drives, finishing 3-of-17 on third-down attempts while allowing five sacks. Despite the offensive challenges, Belhaven continued to fight late.
Jack Crawford entered at quarterback in the fourth quarter and led a 75-yard scoring drive capped by a 34-yard touchdown pass to
RJ Garrison, cutting the deficit to 30-13 with under three minutes to play.
Belhaven finished with 217 total yards, highlighted by 74 rushing yards from
Caleb Gallashaw and 72 receiving yards from Garrison. Defensively,
Tyler Miller led the Blazers with 11 tackles, while Gray and
Avery Thomas each recorded interceptions.
Saturday's game also honored Belhaven's senior class of 29 student-athletes, many of whom were apart of the program for the last four seasons.
