LAGRANGE, Ga. - The Belhaven Women's Volleyball team went the distance on Thursday night but fell just short in a hard-fought five-set battle on the road at LaGrange. The Blazers took the first two sets before the Panthers rallied back to claim the 3-2 victory (24-26, 18-25, 25-17, 25-16, 15-10) inside Mariotti Gymnasium.
The opening set set the tone for a night filled with momentum swings. Belhaven trailed 22-20 late before responding with a four-point surge highlighted by strong serving and timely defense to secure a 26-24 win.

LaGrange regrouped in the third set, capitalizing on Blazer errors to take the frame 25-17. Despite steady production from the front line, Belhaven couldn't maintain offensive rhythm in the fourth as the hosts used a 7-2 run to pull away late, evening the match at two sets apiece with a 25-16 win. The decisive set saw both teams trade early points, but LaGrange found separation after an 8-8 tie to clinch the match 15-10.Â
