Box Score LAGRANGE, Ga. - The Belhaven Men's Basketball team lost a heart breaker on Wednesday, falling 73-70 to LaGrange College on the road.
Belhaven fells behind early to the hosts as the Blazers' offense struggled to get going in the opening minutes of the contest. Keeping the game close however, the Blazers were able to take their first lead in the contest just past the midway point of the first half as a
Jacob Reese put back took the Blazers in front 16-15.
The teams would trade blows as the first half wore on and with under a minute to play in the half, LaGrange erased a five point deficit to level the score at 31-31 at the break. It was the Blazers who led the early stages of the second and within a few minutes of the second half starting, Belhaven opened up their largest lead of the game, a 41-33 advantage.
That gap was closed quickly by the Panthers and set up a thrilling finish as the teams stayed in lockstep with each other through the final 15 minutes. Despite never trailing by more than six points in the second half, Belhaven was unable to overcome LaGrange's late lead and a buzzer-beating three point attempt that would have tied the went just off target.

Jacob Reese continued his strong form with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
Jordan Marshall finished the night in double-figure scoring with 11 points and seven rebounds while
