Belhaven's Bats Come Alive in Second Game of Doubleheader Split Against LaGrange

LAGRANGE, Ga. - The Belhaven Softball team split their Saturday doubleheader against LaGrange as the Blazers fell 1-0 in a pitchers' duel to open before the Belhaven bats sparked to life in a 13-4 victory to close the weekened.

GAME ONE

Neither team could get their offense going in the opening game of Saturday's doubleheader as both teams went quietly through the first four innings. Natalie Parker and Taylor Heaton combined to keep LaGrange off the board until the 5th inning when the Panthers pushed across an unearned run on a Belhaven throwing error.

That would prove to be all the offense necessary as hosts kept the Blazers scoreless for all seven innings on the day limiting the Belhaven bats to just four hits scattered throughout the contest.
