SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Belhaven Golf team wrapped up the first two rounds of the Port City Invitational on Monday as the first of the two-day event was completed. The Blazers currently sit 13th as a team ahead of Birmingham-Southern, Wabash and Oglethorpe.
After the first day of action,
Luke Couch leads the way for the Blazers posting a nine-over 80 in the first round before coming back with a five-over 76 in the second round of the day. Through two rounds the Vestavia Hills, Alabama native sits tied for 28th among individuals at 14-over.
Jake Shmonov follows Couch after posting a matching nine-over 80 in the opening round before finishing the day with a seven-over 78 second round. Shmonov will enter the second day of the Port City Invitational 16-over and tied for 35th among individuals.
Will Justice currently sits tied for 59th among individuals as after finishing the the first two rounds +20 while
Andrew Scherer finished 25-over and
Gannon Williams finished 37-over.
The second day of the Port City Invitational will take place on Tuesday, March 7th at the Savannah Country Club in Savannah, Georgia.
