ATLANTA, Ga. - Brett Sanchez of the Belhaven Baseball team earned his second straight Collegiate Conference of the South Pitcher of the Week honor for his stellar performance in Saturday's 4-1 win over Piedmont. 

Sanchez, a Slidell, La. native, was once again dominant on the mound to secure a second consecutive sweep to open the conference slate. The Blazers' hurler went the distance, allowing just one run on seven hits while striking out a career-high 15 Piedmont hitters. It was his second straight complete-game after going the full 9.0 last weekend against Maryville. In his last four starts, Sanchez has struck out 46 and allowed just three runs in 33.2 innings of work. 

The 2023 Cowboy Maloney Series finale awaits Sanchez and the Blazers on Tuesday, March 28th. First pitch from Twenty Field against Millsaps is set for 6:00 PM.
