LAGRANGE, Ga. – Jordan Marshall connected from beyond the arc with 10.1 seconds left to lift Belhaven past LaGrange, 71-70, on Saturday. The Blazers move to 12-10 (7-4 CCS) with the thrilling road win.
 
Both teams went back and forth in the early going, with LaGrange holding a slight 9-7 advantage at the 14:41 mark of the first half. Luke Couch's layup with 10:25 gave the Blazers their first lead since the first minutes of the game, and the two teams traded baskets for the remainder of the half.
 
Matthew McMillan knocked down a three at the horn to tie things up at 40 heading into the second half.
 
Judah Jordan picked up where McMillan left off with a three right out of the locker room to give Belhaven a lead, but LaGrange kept pace with the Blazers and was able to take a 56-52 lead with 12 minutes to play.
 
Belhaven responded with a 10-1 run to go up 62-57, but the Panthers scored the game's next 11 to take a six-point lead with just over two minutes left.
 
With the Blazers down four with 27 seconds remaining, Couch kept Belhaven in it with a bucket to cut the Panther lead to 70-68. Belhaven then forced a tie-up on the ensuing inbounds, and the possession arrow gave the ball back to the Blazers with just 11 seconds to go.
 
Marshall got loose in the corner and delivered the biggest shot of the game, sinking a game-winning three-pointer to give the Blazers a 71-70 win.
 
Jordan led the Blazers with 20 points and seven boards. Couch tallied 19 points while Marshall added 15.
 
Belhaven returns to action on Tuesday, February 14th when they travel to Columbus, Miss. For a midweek matchup with MUW. Tipoff is set for 7 PM.
