LONGVIEW, Texas - The Belhaven Softball team finished out their series on Saturday with a win over LeTourneau ensuring the series victory for the Blazers as they continue conference play. Kennedy Carruth.
After each team went scoreless in the first two innings Belhaven found the first breakthrough when they scored a pair of runs in the top of the 3rd frame.
Sydney Runnels started the scoring with an RBI single and then came around to score herself on
Ellie Jones' RBI base hit.Â

Kennedy Carruth continued to keep the YellowJackets quiet at the plate generating plenty of swing-and-miss and then got added insurance runs from the BU offense in the top of the 5th with Belhaven scoring two more runs.
Ellie Jones got her second RBI hit of the game with a double that scored Runnels before a fielding error on a ball put in play by
Allie Gordon allowed Jones to come around and score. With a four-run lead to work with, Carruth polished off the seven inning shutout and held the hosts to just two hits.
