JACKSON, MS- The Green and Gold hosted Howard Payne University on Saturday, September 18, in the Blazers second American Southwest Conference match of the season. The Yellow Jackets walked away with a 3-0 set victory (25-22, 25-18, 25-21) over the Blazers.
 
Junior Izabella Erickson led the Blazers in kills with six, while senior Emily Carroll and Freshman Ellie Jones tied for second with five. Senior Grace Laukhuf led the team in assists with 11 and aces with three. Senior Kristin Fogan led the team in digs today with 11, while Ellie Jones with two blocks.
 
The Blazers will be back in action in Rugg Area on Tuesday, September 21, against conference opponent East Texas Baptist University at 7 PM.
