JACKSON, Miss.- The Belhaven women's soccer team defeated Louisiana College by a final score of 4-0 on Saturday afternoon inside Belhaven Bowl Stadium. With the win, the Blazers improved to 3-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
The Blazers scored the first goal of the game when
Ashley Langham found the back of the net in the 41st minute to give the Green and Gold the 1-0 advantage heading into the halftime break.
Jackie Therrien made it 2-0 in favor of the Blazers early in the second half, notching her second goal of the season.
Belhaven continued to pressure the Wildcats as Therrien scored another goal in the match to give the Blazers a three-goal advantage.
Kyla Shaw scored the final goal for the Blazers late in the match to give Belhaven the 4-0 shutout over the Wildcats.
Belhaven recorded 34 total shots with 16 shots being on goal while holding Louisiana College to zero shots in the match.
The Blazers will return to the field on Saturday, March 20 against the LeTourneau University Yellowjackets in Longview, Texas.
