HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter –
Lauren Brooks scored the first four points for the Blazers, but LC had the 5-4 advantage at the 6:43 mark of the first quarter. Both teams exchanged buckets for the next four minutes of play until
Autumn Covington drill a shot from behind the arc to give the Green and Gold the 11-9 lead. The Wildcats then went on a 6-0 run to close out the first quarter leading 15-11.
Second Quarter – In the opening five minutes of play in the second period, the Wildcats pushed its lead to nine points. The Blazers and Wildcats went back and forth for the remainder of the first half, but the Wildcats held on to the 41-30 lead going into halftime.
Third Quarter – The Blazers rallied and closed the gap to six points in the opening two minutes of play in the third quarter. The Wildcats continued to make buckets to take a 57-45 lead going into the fourth quarter.
Fourth Quarter – The Wildcats made the opening bucket of the fourth quarter, but the Blazers went on a 15-5 run, making the score 65-60 with 3:10 remaining in regulation. The score remained close for the remaining three minutes of action, but the Blazers would fall by a final score of 73-66.

BELHAVEN'S STATS
- There were three Blazers the scored double-digit figures in the contest.

Lauren Brooks led the scoring for the Blazers with 19 points. Additionally, she posted seven rebounds and was 11-for-14 from the charity stripe.

Peyton Papenburg scored 14 points, grabbed six boards, two steals, and three assists during the contest.

Alexis Caldwell was the last Blazer in double digits scoring 10 points and went 3-5 from the field.
- Aaliyaha Thornton and
Brittany Ford added six points apiece in the game and each player tallied five rebounds.

Kimberly Calhoun finished with four points and was 50 percent from the field, while
Autumn Covington added three points and went 1-for-2 from behind the arc.

Destiny Johnson and
DeQuandra Lyles rounded out the scoring for the Blazers with a bucket apiece.
- As a team, the Blazers shot 73.3 percent from the free-throw line and had 11 points from the bench.
