CLARKVILLE, Ark.– The Belhaven University men's basketball team wrapped up the 2018-19 season on Saturday afternoon in Clarksville, Arkansas as the Blazers fell by a final score of 82-67 to the University of the Ozarks inside of conference play.
The Blazers finished the season 9-16 with the most wins since the 2014-15, and the most wins since joining the NCAA.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half – Belhaven jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead in the first few minutes of the first half, reaching an eleven point lead with 10:18 left to go unto the break. The Ozarks, trailing by double-digits, fought back, earning the momentum as the Eagles took its first lead of the game with a free throw, 27-26, with 4:44 on the clock. The Eagles stretched its lead to six points heading into half time, 34-26.
Second Half – The second half started off in a positive direction for the Blazers, as the Green and Gold tied the game up at 36-36 in less than two minutes right out of the break. Yet the Eagles quickly went on an 11-0 run, taking a 47-36 lead. Belhaven had moments throughout the second half where they worked the deficit back down to within four points but once again the Eagles continued to stretch its lead out to a point where Belhaven could not recover on the scoreboard. Belhaven fell by a final score of 82-67 to end the 2018-19 season with the most wins in the program since joining the NCAA.
