HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One
- In the top of the second inning Belhaven plated two runs on the board with the help of a throwing error from the pitcher to put the Blazers ahead 2-0.
- Berry tied the game up at 2-2 in the bottom half of the second inning with a triple to left field.
- The Vikings added two more insurance runs in the third and fifth inning.
- Belhaven was held scoreless for the remainder of the game, falling by a final of 4-2 in the first game of the doubleheader on Saturday.
Game Two
- The Vikings got out to a 3-0 lead with one run in the first inning with the help of an RBI single, and two runs in the fourth inning with two bases loaded walks.
- A wild pitch scored Julyan Urena and moments later and a fielder's choice off the bat of Tucker Calhoun that scored Nick Lucido, gave the Blazers two runs on the board. Belhaven trailed 3-2.
- In the bottom half of the fifth inning, an error gave Berry College two more runs to extend its lead to 5-2.
- Berry scored five more runs in the sixth inning with timely hitting that gave them a 10-2 advantage. Belhaven was unable to score for the remainder of the contest, falling by a final of 10-2.
