MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Belhaven Men's Basketball team picked up their first win of the season on Friday knocking off Rhodes College 86-83 in Memphis.
The Blazers got a needed win at Rhodes on Friday as they play in the Rhodes Holiday Classic. Belhaven was led by
Brosnan Cooks who scored 20 points to go along with 15 rebounds and 9 assists in 30 minutes of play. Cooks' 15 rebounds was a season high for the senior.Â
Along with Cooks,
Josh Roberts scored 11 points, the second time this season he's had double digit scoring.
Ryan Dupree racked up nine points and six assists for the Blazers.
As a team, Belhaven was able to win the rebounding battle by a slim 34-32 margin and made the most of their long range efforts shooting 48.4% from behind the arc.Â
The Blazers will look to add another win to their record at the Rhodes Holiday Classic on Saturday when they face Berry College. Tip off against the Vikings is set for 3 PM.
