HOW IT HAPPENED
 
First Half – The Blazers jumped ahead of the Owls early on to take the 11-4 lead, until The W caught an offensive spark and took the lead, with a score of 19-11 at the 11:55 mark. The Green and Gold continued to fight back and regained the 23-21 advantage after Brosnan Cooks made a layup with 8:17 remaining until halftime. The Blazers and Owls went back and forth for the remainder of the first half, as Belhaven led at the break with a score of 35-34.
 
Second Half – The Owls took the lead as many as five points early on, but the Blazers took the 45-44 lead at the 12:56 mark of the second half. The Owls then went on an 8-3 run; bringing the score to 52-48 midway through the second period. The lead changed multiple times throughout the remainder of regulation until the score was knotted up at 63-63 to force overtime play.
 
Overtime – Tommy McCoy opened up the scoring in overtime with a three-pointer to give the Blazers a 66-63 advantage. The Green and Gold held onto the lead until 45 seconds left in the game, as Josh Skinner tied the game and gave the owls the one-point lead. Belhaven went on a 5-0 run to end the game, giving the Blazers the 75-71 victory over the Owls.
