JACKSON, Miss.– The Belhaven University women's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision to the Greenville University Panthers in non-conference play on Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Erica Rempel got the Blazers on the board first when she found the back of the net in the 11 minute to make the score 1-0.

- After being down 1-0, the Panthers netted a goal in the 36 minute to bring the score to 1-1. 

- The score remained the same going into the halftime break.

- The Panthers increased their lead and added two more goals in the 56 and 86 minutes of play.

- The Green and Gold could not get anything going in the second half and would fall 3-1 in the match.

KEY STATISTICS
- As a team, the Blazers outshot the Panthers 14-8 with Belhaven adding seven shots on goal.

- Erica Rempel led the Blazers' with six shots and four being on goal. She also scored a goal in the match.

- Alex Trammel added two shots with one of them being on goal.
