HENDERSON, Tenn – The Belhaven University cross country teams competed at the Freed Speed Open on Saturday morning in Henderson, Tenn.
The men's cross country team finished with 107 total points and finished in 4
thplace. The women's cross country team finished in 7
thplace with 181 points.
On the men's side,
Javarcea Thomas finished first for the Blazers, finishing 15
thoverall, with a time of 30:22.39.
David Taylor finished with a time of 30:54.42 good enough for a 21
st place finish overall.
Hunter-Magno Hester claimed a time of 31:52.81 and finished 26
th overall.
Jonathan Graham and
Matthew Taylor rounded out the scoring on the men's side with a time of 32:27.31 and 32:31.92 respectively.
On the women's side, Lydia Brandt finished 16
thoverall with a time of 23:01.51.
Alyssa Veenker finished the 5K with a time of 25:01.68, while
Leslie Howe crossed the finished line at the 26:34.16 mark.
Susanna Reese rounded out the scoring on the women's side with a time of 28:40.44.
Belhaven will run next at the Major Blazer Invite at Choctaw Trails in Clinton, Miss. on Saturday, September 29 at 8:30 and 9:30 a.m.
