JACKSON, Miss. - The Belhaven baseball team slipped to the Millsaps Majors Tuesday night by a final score of 7-5 in the final game of the Cowboy Maloney series between the crosstown rivals. The Majors swept the series three games to none.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Belhaven got on the scoreboard first with a single from the bat of Tucker Calhoun, scoring Antoine Watts to give the Blazers the 1-0 lead in the top of the second.
- Millsaps quickly wiped away the Blazers lead after Jimmy Johnstone hit a two run single to right field to give the Majors the 2-1 advantage in the bottom of the third inning.
- Connor Woodall extended the Majors lead to 4-1 in the third inning with a two run double to right field.
- Will Costinett delivered his tenth double of the season to left field in the top of the sixth inning, scoring Colton Fontana and cutting the Majors lead to 4-2.
- The very next at bat, Kreg Garner delivered a single right up the middle, scoring one run to bring the Blazers within one run, 4-3.
- Antoine Watts grounded out to second base, scoring Will Costinett from third to tie the game up at 4-4. Justin Acevedo, for the fourth Blazer at bat in a row, drove in an RBI this time with a single to right. After the top of the sixth, Belhaven regained the lead 5-4.
- Millsaps tied the game up with a bunt single from Cavin Breland, scoring one runner to make the score 5-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning.
- In the same inning, Chase Callaway singled to right field over the head of second baseman Evan Moore, scoring one more run for the Majors and giving them the 6-5 advantage.
- Two batters later, Wes Lassere singled up the middle, scoring Chase Callaway of the Majors from second base. After seven innings Millsaps led 7-5.
- The Majors went on to close out the game and win by a final score of 7-5.

- Tucker Calhoun went 1-for-4 and drove in the first run of the game.
- Antoine Watts had one hit, finishing 1-for-3 at the plate, and driving in one RBI.
- Reed Bolton ended his game 1-for-3 as he continued to be a tough out offensively. Bolton scored one run against the Majors.
- Lead off hitter Colton Fontana scored one run and finished 1-for-4 on the night.
