HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was a slow start for Belhaven as the Majors jumped out to a 7-0 lead six minutes into the start of the contest.
- Belhaven got its first basket in the game with a quick layup from Laramie Long with 14:12 on the clock.
- With the help of free throws over the next three minutes, the Blazers pulled within four points 15-11 with just over eleven minutes remaining in the first half.
- The Majors used an 18-6 run over the next five minutes to pull away from the Blazers late into the first half. Belhaven trailed at the break by a score of 47-33.
- The Green and Gold caught a glimpse of offensive rhythm as they would score 11 straight points over a four-minute span at the beginning of the second half to pull within a 47-44 score.
- Millsaps quickly made a 15-6 run to regain a double-digit lead, 62-50.
- The Blazers cut the lead in half multiple times over the next few minutes, trailing 71-66 with 59 seconds left in the contest.
- Millsaps closed out the game with six straight points to come out on top over Belhaven, 77-66.
- Belhaven gave up 47 points in the first half, yet outscored the Majors 33-30 in the second half to build positive momentum heading into Friday's contest versus Pensacola Christian.

KEY STATISTICS
- Laramie Long scored a team-high 17 points on 2-6 shooting from the field. Long was 13-16 from the free throw line in the game.
- Brosnan Cooks collected a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds
- Joseph Jones had nine points and tied for a team-high three steals along with Tommy McCoy, who finished with seven points. McCoy finished second on the team with five rebounds.
- As a team, Belhaven was 30-of-51 from the free throw line.
- Belhaven was 17-of-54 in shooting attempts and finished with 28 points in the paint, 24 fast break points, and 24 points off the bench.
