ABILENE, Texas - The Belhaven men and women's cross country teams competed in the 2018 American Southwest Conference (ASC) Championships on Saturday morning at Nelson Park.

On the women's side,
Leslie Howe led the Green and Gold with a time of 30:32.48, while
Alyssa Veenker crossed the finish line three seconds after Howe.
Susanna Reese ran the 6K at 30:53.01, whileÂ
Tamera Lairy finished at the 34.08.15 mark.Â
On the men's side, the Blazers finished in eighth place out of 11 teams.

David Taylor led the Blazers in time with a finish of 31:00.64 for a 46th place finish out of 107 runners, whileÂ
Jonathan Graham ran the 8K with a time of 31:13.50.
Javarcea Thomas finished the race with a 30:02.7 time and
Matthew Taylor crossed the finish line at 32:37.76.Â
Silvanus Johnson rounded out the scoring for the Green and Gold with a time of 34:19.30.Â
Hunter Magno-Hester crossed the finish line at the 36:03.68 mark.

Belhaven will next compete at the National Christian College Association (NCAA) Cross Country Championships on November 10
th in Point Lookout, Missouri.
