JACKSON, Miss. - The Belhaven men's soccer team lost in a close match Thursday night in the Belhaven Bowl Stadium, falling to the Covenant College Scots 1-0.
Josh Brower for the Scots scored the only lone goal of the night at the 19:53 mark of the first period.
The Blazers tallied seven shots, while Covenant College tallied six. Sophomore
Kobe Van Someren led the Blazers with two shots, with multiple Blazers tallying a shot.
Junior Goalkeeper
Thomas Blake added two saves in the match.
The Blazers drop to 0-1-2 with the loss, while Covenant College improves to 2-2 on the season. The Blazers will look for their first win of the season on Saturday night September 9, inside the Belhaven Bowl Stadium against the LSU- Shreveport Pilots. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
