JACKSON, Miss. - The Belhaven University football team will travel to Abilene, Texas this weekend for an American Southwest Conference matchup at McMurry University.
The Blazers (1-3) are looking to bounce back after losing at home to Howard Payne last Saturday, 45-37.
Belhaven will also look to collect their first win in ASC play tomorrow. In last Saturday's home contest, the Blazers fell behind early and trailed as much as 28-0.
The Blazers' offense totaled 432 yards throughout the game despite the loss. Hunter McEachern tossed four touchdowns for a total of 317 yards. For the season, McEachern has thrown 14 touchdowns with 1,372 passing yards.
Running back Brad Foley had another successful day leading the Blazers ground attack in week 4. The freshman collected 71 rushing yards on 15 attempts while also tallying 36 receiving yards on six receptions. Foley has led the Blazers running charge the last two weeks.
Through the first four games of the season the Blazers have six different receivers with 100 hundred yards or more. Jacob McNeill leads the team with 356 yards on 27 catches and 2 touchdowns.
Kyky Austin follows behind McNeill with 341 yards on 16 receptions.
Senior Nolan Satcher has registered 162 yards receiving on 17 catches and a team leading five touchdowns.
Jareth Embry has six receptions for 120 yards, and. LaMarcus Caradine has registered nine catches for 159 yards and five touchdowns.
Quan Jones has also broken into the 100 yard receiving category with 103 yards on nine receptions and one touchdown.
Despite giving up an average of 51 points per game, the Belhaven defense has been led by senior veteran Denarrius Noel through the first four games.
Noel  has registered a total of 29 tackles, 21 of which are solo, two tackles for loss, two sacks, and one quarterback hurry. The defensive lineman has been an opposing force in the backfield averaging 7.6 tackles per game.
Keith Marshall has registered 26 tackles, 19 solo and seven assisted. Additionally, Marshall has recorded one tackle for loss, one interception and one fumble recovery.
Austin Russell is tied for the team lead along with Noel with two recorded sacks on the season.
Maurice Stewart and Isaiah Blackmon have each recorded an Interception of more than 30 yards
In last years game, the War Hawks were victorious over Belhaven 56-7 at the Belhaven Bowl Stadium.
This season, McMurry is 1-4 on the season and 1-3 in American Southwest Conference play. The War Hawks are coming off of a 31-21 home loss to Texas Lutheran.
McMurry as a team is currently averaging 14 points per game, while giving up over 30 points per game on the other side of the ball.
The War Hawks use a balanced attack on offense as they are averaging nearly 80 rushing yards per contest while throwing just under 200 yards each game.
Defensively, McMurry is allowing over 440 yards of total offense, including 317 rushing yards and 129 passing yards.
