Belhaven is coming off of a 59-13 loss at No. 2 Wisconsin-Whitewater in week two. The Blazers
held a 13-7 lead over Wisconsin-Whitewater early in the second quarter and at the end of three quarters, trailed the Warhawks just 24-13. But the nationally ranked Warhawks flexed their muscles in the fourth quarter, scoring 35 unanswered points to dash Belhaven's hopes of pulling off an upset.
The Blazers began the 2016 season by winning the seventh edition of the Riverside Rumble on Sept. 1 against rival Millsaps at Harper Davis Field, rallying back from a 17-7 halftime deficit to defeat the Majors 28-25.
Huntingdon has earned victories over Louisiana College and Birmingham-Southern College to begin the 2016 season with a 2-0 mark.
The Hawks finished the 2015 season with a 10-2 overall record and a perfect 7-0 mark in the USA South Conference. Huntindgon advanced to the second round of the 2015 NCAA Division III Playoffs before falling to Mary Hardin-Baylor.
Belhaven will need to slow down a Huntingdon team that has plenty of offensive powerfire on its side, averaging 50.5 points and 578.5 total yards of offense per game through the first two weeks of the season. Starting running back John Iwaneic has been a force for the Hawks, averaging 108.5 yards per game with a 5.9 yards per carry average. Quarterback Luke Bailey has thrown for 691 yards and six touchdowns with zero interceptions. Otis Porter has led the receiving corps with 248 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Saturday's game is the second meeting between the two teams. Huntingdon defeated Belhaven 35-21 in Jackson on Sept. 26 of last season. The Blazers carried a 10-7 advantage into the halftime break but were outscored 28-11 in the second half.
What's Next
Following a bye week, the Blazers begin American Southwest Conference play by hosting No. 18 East Texas Baptist on Saturday, Oct. at 1 p.m. That game will be part of Family Weekend at Belhaven University.
