JACKSON, Miss. – The Belhaven Softball team, after a 31-6 record in the regular season, will now turn their attention to the National Christian College Athletic Association Mideast Regional, scheduled for Tuesday, May 10 and May 11 at the Mississippi College Softball Complex in Clinton.
 
The Blazers earned the two-seed in the regional, and the will face Alice Lloyd in the first round at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. The winner of the first game will take on top-seed Mississippi College at 4:30 p.m., while the loser will play the loser of the second game at 7 p.m. for an elimination game.
 
On Wednesday, the championship game will begin at 4:30 p.m., and the "if necessary" game is slated for 7:00 p.m.
 
The winner of the regional tournament will earn the automatic bid to the NCCAA World Series on May 18-20 in Roanoke, Virginia.
 
Throughout the regional tournament, Mustard Seed will partner with the three schools during the two-day event. The Mustard Seed seeks to meet the spiritual, physical, emotional, and intellectual needs of adults with developmental disabilities by providing a loving and protected Christian community with meaningful activities that allow the participants to fulfill the potential that God has created within them. During the 4:30 p.m. contest, several "Seedsters" will be in attendance and will be announced with the starting lineups.
 
Each team will bring one item from the Organization's "Wish List" in order to help their operation function properly. The items will be presented before the 4:30 p.m. game on Tuesday.
 
Tickets for the regional tournament will be $5 for adults, $3 for students (with ID) and kids 10 and under get in free.
 
For fans who are unable to attend the tournament, all games will have live video and live stats, provided by Stretch Internet, and all Belhaven games will be broadcast on the Blazers Sports Network.
