PINEVILLE, La. – The Belhaven Men's Basketball team fell 56-82 to Louisiana College on Saturday to close out the 2015-16 season.
Louisiana College jumped out to an early lead and the Blazers were never able to recover, shooting 37.7 percent from the field while the Wildcats shot 50 percent.
The three graduating seniors led the way for Belhaven in the contest.
De'la Mayers led the Blazers with 17 points in the game and was tied for second in team rebounds with six.
Josh Gaskin also had six rebounds and finished with 15 points in the game. Gaskin also had two blocks and two steals.
Josh Carpenter rounded out the senior trio in scoring, finishing with 11 points. Carpenter also led the Blazers with seven rebounds.
David Simpson joined the seniors in the starting lineup and finished with five points.

Fred Douglas (2) and
John Works (2) rounded out the scoring for Belhaven off the bench.
DaJuan Young was held scoreless off the bench but also has two of Belhaven's five blocks in the game.
