KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The Belhaven men's soccer team's 2015 season ended on Friday at the Semifinals of the 2015 NCCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament, as the Blazers fell to Bethel (Ind.) 3-1 at Austin-Tindall Regional Park.
The Pilots (13-6-3) earned a first goal right before halftime before adding two more in the second half.
Cillian Thompson was able to get the Blazers on the board in the 69th minute after drawing a foul in the box. Thompson scored his 13th goal of the season off a penalty kick. The Dunboyne, Ireland native finishes his career with 21 goals and six assists, totaling 49 points in 56 career matches.
Ben Schaefer racked up six saves on the afternoon. The Tupelo, Mississippi native finishes the 2015 campaign with 38 saves in 11 games played, averaging 1.08 goals against and totaling four clean sheets.
The Blazers wrap up the 2015 season with a 14-4-2 finish.
