Box Score ATLANTA, Ga. – The Belhaven Blazers fell in a close battle with FDU-Florham 61-65 Friday night in the opening day of the Oglethorpe Holiday Classic.
 
The Blazers had a lead after the first quarter, but went into the break down by two, 35-33. The Green and Gold answered back in the third quarter to take a two-point advantage to the final 10 minutes, but FDU-Florham outscored the Blazers 17-11.
 
Sierra Pittman led the Blazers with 14 points in the game. Ten of her points came from the free-throw line. Pittman also had five rebounds in the game.
 
Pittman also had five assists and two steals in the game.
 
Jasmine Brown and Candler Gregory each finished with 11 points. Brown finished with five points and two steals in the game.
 
Tamora Shelton led the Blazers with 11 rebounds in the game, the only Blazer in double digits on the boards. Shelton also had eight points in the game, along with fellow starter Ieshia Dixon.
 
Belhaven will return to action on Saturday with its final game of the fall semester. Belhaven is set to tip off against Manchester at 3 p.m. ET/2 p.m. CT.
