Series vs. Cumberland (BU trails 8-7): This will be the 16th meeting between the Blazers and Bulldogs.

Quick Stat: Junior running back Aaron Spikes led the Belhaven offense last week with his first 100 yard game as a Blazer. Spikes carried the ball 24 times for 119 yards and one touchdown. He averaged five yards per carry. On the season, Spikes is averaging 60.8 yards per game and has 44 total rushing attempts through the first three games.

Player to Watch: Senior wide receiver Justin Kenyon has quietly had a solid start to the season; leading the Blazers receiving corp. Kenyon paces the team with 11 receptions and 185 yards. He is averaging 61.7 yards per game and almost 17 yards per catch, making him a big play threat down the field.

Tale of the Tape: Both offenses have struggled through the early part of the season. Cumberland is averaging 176.5 yards per game while Belhaven has averaged 260.3 yards of offense through the first three contests. The Bulldogs pickup 2.8 yards per play and the Blazers are at 3.6. Both are balanced between the run and the pass, with almost half the yards coming on the ground and the other half through the air. Key to the Contest: Whichever team can find the offense and control the ball should have the upper hand in this week's game. The Blazers and the Bulldogs are both capable of putting up big numbers and its yet to be seen if that will be the case on Saturday. Belhaven's defense will have to try and slow down the Bulldogs without some key players in the lineup due to injury, including leading tackler Darius Wren. The Blazers will start three freshmen and two sophomores on the defensive side of the ball.
