Series vs. Pikeville (BU Leads 3-2): Belhaven owns a 3-2 all-time series lead against Pikeville going into this weekend. The Blazers defeated the Bears last season 24-14 in week 10 of the season. It was Belhaven's fourth straight win and secured the program's fourth winning season in school history. Belhaven's other two wins came in 2007 and 2003. Pikeville claimed wins in 2001 and 1004.

Quick Stat: Over the last three games, quarterback Ian McGinnis has emerged as a major threat to opposing defenses. McGinnis has thrown five touchdowns and just one interception. McGinnis threw for 224 yards last week and rushed for an additional 24.

Player to Watch: This week's player to watch is linebacker Gregory Goree. Goree was all over the field last week with a game high 11 tackles to go along with an interception and a forced fumble. Goree enters the weekend as Belhaven's second leading tackler with 55 stops. He also has eight tackles for a loss and two interceptions.

Key to the Contest: The key to this week's contest will once again be the ability for Belhaven's defense to stop Pikeville offensively. Likewise, the Blazers will have to move the ball effectively themselves and put together some sustained drives. It will be crucial for the line to protect McGinnis at quarterback and open some running lanes for the tailbacks. The Bears are one of the top teams in the country at putting pressure on the quarterback. Pikeville comes into the game ranked 18th in the NAIA with 22 sacks.
