CLEVELAND, Tenn.-The Belhaven men's tennis team picked up victories at #22 Shorter University and #15 Lee University this past weekend. The Blazers, ranked 17th in the latest NAIA Top 25 Poll, topped Shorter 7-2 and edged Lee 5-4.

In the singles competition at Shorter, Belhaven (12-2) won five of the six contests as Gabriel Prado, Jefferson Nino, Daniel Duarte, David Mejia, and Daniel Prado all came away with wins. The Blazers recorded wins in two of the three doubles matches as Nino and Duarte teamed up for one win and Daniel Prado paired with Mejia for the other.

Belhaven went 3-3 in singles play at Lee with Nino, Mejia, and Daniel Prado notching wins. The Blazers won the overall match thanks to the team of Nino/Duarte and Mejia/Daniel Prado securing wins in doubles play. Nino has been nearly unstoppable this season as he boasts a 13-0 overall record in singles play and is 12-1 in doubles matches.

Belhaven will be back on the court Wednesday as the team hosts cross town rival Millsaps College beginning at 5:00 PM.
