Clinton, MS- The Belhaven women's and men's cross country teams competed in the Watson Ford Invitational at Mississippi College on Friday afternoon. The Blazer women finished 7th out 13 teams logging a team time of 2:28:08.87 in the 6k run while the Blazer men were unable to qualify as a team.  West Florida won the event on the women's side turning in a team time of 2:02:21.46. West Florida also won on the men's side qualifying with a time of 2:14:40.93.

Sarah Storment led the Blazers finishing in 39th place out of 102 runners logging a time of 27:48.09. Sarah McCallister followed Storment crossing the finish line in 50th place with a time of 29:08.25. Blazer runner Chloe Brown came in at 53rd followed by Sarah Rivera (55th), Jackie Bateman (64th), and Seraphine Lin (80th).

For the Blazer men, Peter Davis came in 26th place out of 81 runners with a time of 30:10.94. Robert Ricks followed Davis in 50th place. Andrew Sinclair followed closely behind Ricks in 51st place rounding out the Blazer finishers.

The Blazers will be back at it again on October 15th at the Choctaw Open at Mississippi College. The meet is slated for 9:30 AM.
