Jackson, MS- The Belhaven women's volleyball team defeated Talladega College Tuesday night in Rugg Arena 3-0.  The final set scores were 25-16, 25-18, and 25-10. The Blazers picked up their 15th win of the season giving them a record of 15-6.

Belhaven (15-6) started the contest off slow, but were able to pick up the momentum and take set one 25-16. The Blazers controlled the rest of the match taking sets two and three 25-18 and 25-10. The Blazers was led by Taylor Williams with 11 kills and 4 digs. Christina Atwood and Leigh Anne Huddleston followed Williams with seven kills apiece. Katherine Owens had a team high 17 digs while Erin Bradley turned in a team high 32 assists. As a team, the Blazers turned in 35 kills, 48 digs, and three blocks.

Talladega College was led by Shalitha Swain with 5 kills. Paris Powell and April Webb turned in 4 kills apiece. As a team the tornadoes turned in 16 assists, 32 digs and 16 kills.

Belhaven will travel to New Orleans to face Loyola University Friday at 11 a.m. The Blazers then will take on University   of St. Thomas at Loyola University. Game-time is slated for 3 p.m.  Catch all action live on Live Stream.
