Shreveport, LA- The Belhaven women's soccer team came up short in Shreveport, LA on Saturday against Mid-America Christian University losing 3-0. Mid-America Christian University outshot the Blazers 15-14 with nine shots on goal while Belhaven had seven shots on goal. Mid-America managed to score two goals in first half and finished the Blazers off scoring another goal late in the second half.

Saje Pernie and
Krista Brizeno both had shots on goal with two each. Weber, Kaim, and Dear each attempted one shot on goal as well.
Sarai Long started in the net playing all 90 minutes recording saves saves but yet the loss places her record at 1-1 on the season.
Kelsey Whalen started the scoring off for Mid-America scoring at the 12:19 mark of the match. Julia Nimal led Mid-America with 10 shots total with seven of them on goal. Nimal scored two goals the first coming at the 40:34 minute mark and the second one in the 60th minute. Melissa Dobie started in net for Mid-America playing all 90 minutes and had seven saves in the match.
