Britney Webb led the game off with a triple and came into score when Jessica Eggold reached base on a dropped fly ball. After the Lady Tigers picked up a run in the fourth, Belhaven countered with two more runs in the top of the fifth. Webb stepped to the plate and connected on her fifth home run of the season which was an inside the parker plating both of the Lady Blazer runs. Grambling got a run in their half of the inning making the score 4-2 Belhaven with five innings in the book.

In the sixth, Tiffany Ansley doubled to lead off the inning and came around to score on an RBI groundout by Britanee Pace to make it 5-2 Lady Blazers. Belhaven then put the game away in the top of the seventh scoring four more times on six hits. The big hit in the inning came off the bat of Meadows who blasted her seventh home run of the season over the fence in straight away center field. Salina Cervantes closed the door in the bottom of the seventh to lock up the Lady Blazer victory.

Cervantes got the start and pitched all seven innings giving up only 2 runs on 6 hits while striking out 3 batters in route to a 4-2 record. Offensively, the Lady Blazers were led by Webb who went 4 for 4 at the plate with 2 RBI's. Meadows collected 3 RBI's and Eggold along with Ansley had two hits a piece in Belhaven's win.

Game Two

Game two completely belonged to Belhaven as they dispatched the Lady Tigers on the run rule after five innings of play in an error plagued game. Belhaven scored two runs in each of the first two innings to lead 4-1 after two innings of play.

Grambling then kept Belhaven off the board in the third and came back with a run in the third to climb within two at 4-2. Belhaven extended their advantage to four with two runs in the top of the fourth to jump ahead 6-2. Britanee Pace led off the inning with a double and came home on a ground ball by Webb. Heather Pace then singled in Kayla Maldonado for the second run of the inning.

The Lady Blazers took command in the top of the fifth scoring five runs on three hits and four Lady Tiger errors. Webb brought home two of the five runs on a single up the middle with the other three scores coming on various errors and a base hit by Eggold. Grambling put a run on the board in the bottom of the fifth, but it wasn't enough to prevent the run rule as Belhaven went on to the 11-3 win.

Ashley Mottola improved her pitching record to 5-2 by working all five innings and allowing just two earned runs. Webb led the offense with 4 RBI's on two hits. Britanee Pace and Heather Pace also collected two hits each along with Meadows.

Belhaven returns to action on March 3rd at the University of Mobile when the Lady Blazers open up conference play in a double header with the Lady Rams beginning at 3 PM.
