Dan Lickness is in his sixth year as the Head Men's Golf Coach and Director of Game Day Operations at Belhaven University. Lickness returned to Belhaven in 2012, four years after graduating as one of the top golfers in school history in 2008.
Lickness comes to Belhaven from Sea Pines Golf Resort in Los Osos, Calif. where he served as the Tournament Director for the Junior Golf Association. Prior to his move to California, Lickness was the Assistant Recreation Director at Mission First in Jackson, Mississippi.
Since Lickness has returned to Belhaven, the men's golf program has seen a strong growth and resurgence regionally and nationally. The Blazers have been invited to play in several major college tournaments, including trips to California and Doral's Blue Monster course in Florida.
Blazers Men's Golf team had a very successful season in 2015-16, making its first-ever National Tournament appearance, where he saw Andy Bartelt earn All-America honors with a third place finish in the NCCAA National Championships in 2015.

Under Lickness' direction in 2014-15, the Blazers set 10 school records and had several other marks in the top five all time in school history. Belhaven shot school records for a round, 36 holes and 54 holes this season. In the Redhawk Spring Invitational, Belhaven posted an 18-hole best round of +2, which was two stokes better than the previous mark set back in 2002-03.
Lickness also serves Belhaven as the Director of Game Day Operations, overseeing the department which handles all staffing operations needs for all 17 of Belhaven athletic teams and their home events.
