One of is week's "Cellular South Athletes of the Week" is Christina Jaques of the Belhaven Volleyball team. Jaques, a 5’10 Senior from Bridge City, TX, had a good week for Belhaven totaling 49 kills while producing four solo blocks and 21 block assists from her front line position en route to being named the Southern States Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. Her match high in kills was 16 in a 3-2 come from behind victory over Martin Methodist College at the Millsaps College Invitational. She leads the Blazers this season in kills with 66 and total blocks with 34. Her attack percentage stands at .294 so far this year.
