Belhaven University Athletics

One of this week's Cellular South Athletes of the Week is Britney Webb of the Belhaven softball team. Webb, a senior infielder from Mobile, AL, set a new NAIA record for most stolen bases in a season and is 75 for 81 in stolen bases on the year. Webb is also the NAIA career leader with 208 total steals. She also had an outstanding week at the plate posting a .429 batting average with a double and three runs batted in in six games. Webb was 7 for 8 in stolen base attempts in those six games. On the season, Webb has a batting average of .463 with four home runs and 51 RBI's.
