One of this weeks Cellular South Athletes of the Week is Chris Bennett of the Belhaven baseball team. Bennett, a senior from Tupelo, MS, Bennett earned his third win of the season pitching seven shutout innings allowing only three hits while striking out 10 against Millsaps in a 12-0 Blazer victory. Bennett leads Belhaven in strikeouts with 50 in 42.1 innings pitched and has held opposing hitters to a .148 batting average. Bennett was also named as the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.
