Belhaven University Athletics

One of this weeks Cellular South Athletes of the Week is Sarah Burns of the Belhaven softball team. Burns, a junior from Edmund, OK, posted six victories against Spring Hill College, St. 21st ranked Xavier University, Robert Morris College, 25th ranked Columbia College (MO) and 24th ranked Olivet Nazarene University. Burns posted an ERA for the week of 0.58 and struck out 34 batters in 36.1 innings. On the season, Burns is 21-3 and has an ERA of 1.65. She has 13 complete games and 170 strikeouts in 147.2 innings and was named as the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.
