Belhaven University Athletics

One of this week's Cellular South Athletes of the Week is Christina Jaques of the Belhaven softball team. Jaques, a junior shortstop from Orange, TX, compiled a .400 batting average in eight games against LSU-Alexandria, Grambling, William Carey, and Judson College. Jaques had two home runs, a double, and eight runs batted in leading to a .750 slugging percentage for the week. Jaques was also five for seven in stolen base attempts and was named Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week.
