Tiffany Ansley of the Belhaven softball team was selected as the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Week for her efforts against Indiana Tech University on February 11th and is one of this week's Cellular South Athletes of the Week. Ansley, a senior third baseman from Miami, FL, went a combined four for seven at the plate and slammed her first home run of the season to lead the Blazers to an 8-2 and 9-3 doubleheader sweep of Indiana Tech in Belhaven’s season opening contests. On the season, Ansley is hitting .692 with one home run, three doubles, and has a team leading 13 RBI’s through the first four games of the year.
