One of this week's Cellular South Athlete's of the Week is Woodie Howard of the Belhaven men's basketball team. Howard, a junior guard from Starkville, MS, helped lead the Blazers to a pair of wins over Blue Mountain College and 13th ranked Trevecca Nazarene University in the Coaches versus Cancer Classic December 18th and 19th. Howard tallied 16 points and nine rebounds against Blue Mountain and tossed in 12 points while recording four rebounds against Trevecca. Howard is averaging 12.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game so far this season.
