One of this week's Cellular South Athletes of the Week is Brittany Carr of the Belhaven women's basketball team. Carr, a junior forward from Jackson, MS, helped lead the Blazers to a pair of wins over Talladega College and Blue Mountain College in the Coaches versus Cancer Classic on December 18th and 19th. Carr recorded a pair of double doubles with 14 points and 12 rebounds against Talladega followed by a 16 point 11 rebound performance against Blue Mountain. Carr is averaging 8.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game this season.
