Belhaven University Athletics

Belhaven sophomore Aliah McPhaul has been named the C Spire Athlete of the Week, following her performance at the 2017 NCCAA Track and Field National Championships. 

McPhaul earned NCCAA All-American honors in the discus and shot put, taking second place in both events at the National Championships. The Leesville, La. native recorded a distance of 40.74m in the discus for her second place finish in the group of 15 competitors. In the shot put, McPhaul threw for 12.54m to beat out 13 participants, setting a new Belhaven school record.
